I got a PS3 this weekend -a 60gig version with wireless built in. I got it hooked up and online no problem, but the downloads from the Playstation store are slow (around 6hrs for a 680mb download).
I've read on other forums that some people are downloading those same files in 10-15min. I've already turned on "Interface Robustness" to filter out extra 2.4ghz interference and that sped things up a bit. Also, by turning off UPnP in the PS3 internet settings, that helped too.
As for my setup, I've got the Airport Extreme basestation downstairs next to my computers (which I put to sleep when i have the PS3 on, to keep max bandwidth available). I'm on a cable connection which is normally smokin' fast. The Airport is set with no WEP security, and it connects with DHCP -nothing fancy.
Are there any other settings I can tweak to make sure I'm giving the PS3 maximum bandwidth?
