Hello all,
Starting yesterday my PC running Vista Ultimate 32-bit edition took nearly 20 minutes to logoff for a restart. Login took just as long sitting on a message saying building desktop. After I finally get in, I rec'd an error via the balloon, stating that the Sytem Profile Service could not be started. Followed by a Windows error pop-up. I tried to get to my services to restart and it freezes up. I tried to do it via command line and as soon as I click on the Run box, it freezes up. Anything I try and do, basically freezes the whole session.
Thinking it was perhaps a corrupt profile, I try logging into my wifes profile and it won't even launch hers since she doesn't have admin rights. I updated drivers last Weds. and everything was working normal. Burn a couple of CD's and the PC acts sluggish. Go to reboot to see if it clears up the slowness and BAM! All this starts happening.
I suppose it could be some type of HDD failure but Vista boots just fine. Just blows when trying to load any profile. My HDD are setup for RAID 0.
I can provide you all with the exact error this evening but just wanted to see if anyone has heard of anything like this?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
