Vista Incompatible with Koreans

Or their websites at least, on the launch next week of Windows Vista for the Koreans, you can expect a good bit of tantrums thrown by those who do not read this article. One of the worst things to turn people away from new hardware or software is to read this very statement, It may not be compatible with stuff you already like/enjoy on your current setup. Sadly that is the case with the first wave of Vista copies to hit the Korean software market.
What will not work? Sad to say for the Koreans, some of their most popular pages. It appears that the first wave of Windows Vista copies to hit the shelves for Koreans will not be able to visit popular banking sites, portals, game sites, and malls. Also they can expect problems from Government sites and activities on them such as printing certificates.
Congratulations Microsoft, you just turned away all of Korea!
How could this of happened? Windows, most compatible software on this earth, does not like Active-X, one of the most common required components of Korean based websites, so we now have a problem! Without this the banking, stock sites, and gaming sites will not be available to them at the start, until the good patch is released, but who knows how long that can take.
Sadly this is another strike against Windows, The Aussies get denied the Download, Everyone is forced to upgrade almost any computer a year old, and the Koreans can’t do their favorite past time internet activities. So what will they do ? Just wait on the patch I suppose, thats all they really can do. Mad Love for Microsoft.
