Default Hard drive........

Sorry if this is in the wrong place Admin.

Ok I have installed a new hard drive of 120bg, i also have the original 80gb hard drive in my PC.

The problem is, the 120gb hard drive in "My Computer" says its only 34gb afer I formatted it, this is what happened.

How can this be? And is there any way to fix this?

Thanks for any advice.

This is very common problem ,you need to lookin for Jumper setting on th hard drive.
Normally there is a setting to limit the detection to 32gb .

Normally it will be in between your data cable and Power cable on the hard drive

the set will be for making hard driver master ,second set to make hard driver slave and the third set for limited to detection

Ok, i'm a total noob at this sort of thing and I've never installed a hard drive before so have no clue at all what to do.

Do i have to fix this manually by opening up my computer and dong something to the hard drive itself?

i might have to phone the support hotline and i really dont want to do that lol

Phoned PC World since i pay £8 a month for PC Performance, they told me the hard drive is faulty

Useless C@*ts!!

I fixed it myself and now have another 114GB HD ontop of my 80GB primary one, why are these people employed if they cant fix simple problems that someone as inexperienced as me can??

Thanks for your help chaps
