I have ran Registry Mechanic and cannot find the .dll file in the windows system32 folder. I would rather not reformat so I am asking for an alternative to removing this .dll file if it is not needed. BUT when I run in Safe Mode, it shows in the list that populates before it loads that it uses "... \system32\eogdzx40.dll" before loading XP into Safe Mode. Please let me know what I can do. Thank you ahead of time. |

O2 - BHO: YOK³¬¼¶ËÑË÷ - {75FE2B5A-D3A4-4EFA-AC11-ADC9C9459688} - (no file) O2 - BHO: PrjZKBaiduBHO.ZKBaiduBHO - {BBF3E65D-762A-41AC-BFDA-7C6D97E65A73} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\zkbaidubho.dll O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [yok.exe] C:\PROGRA~1\yok\yok.exe O9 - Extra button: YOK³¬¼¶ËÑË÷ - {F869BB38-FFEF-4589-B986-610B7AD0ADA2} - http://www.yok.com (file missing) You can safely fix any unnecessary entries in your startup (04 entries) that you don't need to have running at bootup. I only have my firewall, antivirus and antispyware programs running at startup. 1. Uninstall "yok" and delete its folder. Download this file - combofix.exe http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/combofix.exe Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall 2. Also, download and install Superantispyware http://www.superantispyware.com/downloadfile.html?productid=SUPERANTISPYWAREFREE Load Superantispyware and click the "check for updates" button. Once the update is finished, close SuperAntispyware again, we'll perform the scan later in safe mode * Start Superantispyware. Click the "scan your computer" button. Check "Perform Complete Scan" and then next. Superantispyware will now scan your computer and when its finished it will list all the infections it has found. Make sure that they all have a check next to them and press next. Click finish and you will be taken back to the main interface. Click "Preferences" and then click the "statistics/logs" tab. Click the dated log and press view log and a text file will appear. Let us know how that goes. |
