Question: I have client with a Windows XP SP2 desktop computer running MS Office 2003 and basic secuitty software (Norton A/V 2006 and SpySweeper). The sole printer on the computer is an HP5610 connected via USB. The printer is setup for sharing on a home network. It has functioned perfectly for a few years, but recently, my client is getting exasperated because the default printer setting has disappeared from Word and other applications. He may select the printer by pulling down on the printer list, but wonders why the default setting is not holding. Any ideas?
