Customize Folder Background

In older windows there was an option "Customize this folder" in right click menu . But in XP i couldnt find it. Is there any way to change the background of a folder? putting the required files in that folder.. if so please help me with the steps for changing the folder background.

Also, some folders, like windows, system32, program files... when we open those folders we get a message instead of files/subfolders list. We get a message "These file are hidden". Is there any way to make our folder look like that ?

Please help in this. I am looking forward for your kind help
