How do I clear the condition short of rebooting? - How do I identify and kill the process in question? |

2) Leave the command window open 3) Open task manager (Click Start->Run->Taskmgr) 4) Locate the Explorer process from the Processes tab 5) Right-click Explorer and End Process 6) Back in the command window, navigate to where the file is located i.e, if the file is on your desktop, the command window should be open at C:\Documents and Settings\<Username> Simply type CD Desktop <Enter> 7) Now try del filename.ext (replacing with the actual filename) 8) If it works, simply type explorer to get it loaded back... |
