Basically, I'd like to set Permissions on some folders on an XP Pro machine that connects to both Pro and Home machines, to allow only some users access to those folders. When I go to the Sharing tab of the folder I want to setup, I choose "Share this folder" and then I click on Permissions. On the Security tab, I click on "Add". This is the part that I don't understand. In my mind, I want to click on "Locations", find the computer on the network, then add the user of that computer to the list that allows access to the folder. However, when I click "Locations", the only computer listed is the one I'm on. What am I doing wrong and how can I achieve what I'm after. |

when the users go to access the share, they will need to use the username & password of the account you set up for them. |
