Question: I have windows vista home and when i write an email in outlook 2003 it is very slow. every time i type it is not as fast as me typing.

Sorry for the long silence - I was out of Internet range for the weekend.

It sounds like something having to do with the editor in Outlook.

In Outlook 2003 and many earlier versions, you have an option to select MS Word as your e-mail editor.

In Outlook, go to Tools - Options - Mail Format (tab)

On the Mail Format screen, there is a pair of checkboxes for turning on MS Word as your e-mail editor and reader.

If the top box (MS Word as e-mail editor) is checked, try un-checking it, hitting 'Apply' then 'OK' and returning to Outlook.

See how editing is after this change.

If MS Word is NOT your e-mail editor, try turning it on, hitting 'Apply' then 'OK' and returning to Outlook.

Again, see if this changes your sluggish editor.
