I am running Windows Vista Ultimate, OEM version.. I have altered the MBR to dual boot, however, I am done with that option and want my computer to boot tdirectly to Vista. As I understand it, I have to use the System Recovery option of the Windows installation disk. However, when I boot using the CD, the program starts loading files and then shows the progress bar on the screen. Then, the screen goes dark and nothing else happens. How do I fix this without formatting my HD and doing a clean install? |

Two good MBR-altering programs are EasyBCD and VistaBootPro. If possible, you can also boot from your Vista Setup DVD and choose the 'repair...' option. |
