Print Spooler Service won't start - Windows XP

Question: I can not print or add printers because the Print Spooler Service is not started. The startup type is set to Automatic but it is not running. When I try and start the service receive the following error:

Could not start the Print Spooler Service on Local Computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed t start.

The only dependency that I know of is Remote Procedure Call is is started. I'm missing something but don't know what it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are there any further errors in the event logs?
