Default failure to start up windows xp pro

Question
After closing PC previous day. no problem.but when trying to start up today.the system loaded as far as the Black screen giving the safety mode wording.from there it went into a count down mode.from where back to start up then count down mode.so manually shut down. What is needed or wrong , to enable the start procedure to complete.thanks,,

Solution
this is more info about the tool i speak about.

here is a place you can buy and donwload the product.

It may not fix your system in the end, but at least you will be able to recover your preciouse files.
I recovered from a nasty virus all by music :-)
What is important to know that you have to plug in a external hardidsk via usb that you are going to store your data on, before you power on the system. The second tip i can give is that after the erd commander is booted up, ususaly you need to log out and then log in again and your existing windows installation will become visible. No idea why, but i my experience so far(2 events) it was like that.
And the last tip... ask for frends like emule .. eh ... they might have a copy of erd commander to help you out for this time...
