Deleted registry Key, now windows won't boot
Hi all, I followed some bad advice and deleted the following key from my XP registry HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\ now my machine will not boot, it just gets to the blue login screen, but instead of having my login icon, has a small windows xp icon. Exactly the same in safe mode. How can I restore this key, can I do it from recovery console? Will a windows repair, restore it? I really, really need to not risk losing any data.
