Question
I recently downloaded a movie from the internet and wanted to play it using my windows media player ( I have media player 10 ) the movie did not open and I saw a request at the bottom of the player asking for a codec which keeps on failing to download. I have since looked into this and have found it is Codec SVQ3 I need to have installed. The problem is where do I find it to install it to the windows Media Player to allow me to watch the movie.
Since I also have Quicktime installed I decided to give it a go using that, and found although it does play the movie the film itself keeps freezing up and stalling.
I find all this incredibly anoying and would love a push in the right direction as to why and more importantly how to stop this happening and to fix the problem. I would also love to know where I can get the missing codec for windows media player from as I cannot download it from the web help option on the meda player. I would be so grateful for any help anyone can kindly give me.
