http://jdeboeck.msfnhosting.com nLite - Deployment Tool for the bootable Unattended Windows installation Jdeboeck routine leaves files it removes into organized folders along with the corresponding *.inf files. These files are removed before creating a cd for installing windows. I have tried to install windows management instrumentation by right clicking on the wbemoc.inf file and selecting "install", but nothing happens (1). Files that should be copied over to windows according to the inf file do not get copied. I'm not sure what to try next, except perhaps to manually carry out what the inf file does, but there has to be a better way than this. (1) I should add that I DID expand all files in the folder, of course. Soln his command should get it going: rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection WBEM 132 %windir%\inf\wbemoc.inf Also: Repairing and re-registering the WMI: Repairing and re-registering the WMI Insert your Window XP CD-ROM. |
