Also there is one more problem, this problem is on all our systems. We have about 2-3 domains and those domains comprises of windows 2000, xp systems and win98 systems. When we go to a domain and try to login to a system (it may be any system xp, 2k or 9x) it takes very long time to connect to it. But this does not happen when we try to connect to a system that is placed in WORKGROUP. It comes out very quickly. We have checked out the DNS, there is nothing to be changed. It's been configured correctly. But the systems under workgroups boots up at normal speed but the same system when we goto a domain and tyr to connect to a system, it hangs for few minutes, then it asks for username and password. Any suggestions are welcomed... Regards and Thanks. Soln Most slow logons do point to DNS issues... Recheck your DNS, run Query tests... And you might want to run dcdiag and netdiag tests..
