Description
This download contains the security patches released in June 2006 for Windows XP. Microsoft list the included patches as:

• KB911280
• KB914389
• KB917344
• KB917953
• KB918439
• KB917734 (Media Player 10)
• KB917734 (Media Player 9)
• KB914798
• KB914784 Windows XP x64 Edition (only)

It can suit users who need to patch more than one system or have a high speed connection. The download is the official update package offered by Microsoft.

Some disadvantages:

• Since the download includes files for different versions of software and support for multiple languages, the file is huge - and much larger than the size of downloading the patches for a specific version of Windows.

• Microsoft frequently revises updates and repatches them - this file will not have those revised updates.
• Only the updates listed above are included. Optional updates, releases for Office or other Microsoft products are not included.

Individual updates
Alternatively, you can download the individual June 2006 patches on the Windows XP June 2006 download page. Note however, that you won't need all the patches listed: Windows x64 users have an additional patch for only their operating system (KB914784), plus you'll need to know if you have Media Player 9 or 10 on your system and download the corresponding update.
