Is it possible to control the order in which services are started in windows?

Question: Is it possible to control the order in which services are started up when windows is booted up? If so... How?

There is some more control by adding dependencies to the service settings, the start type is actually something different. E.g. o to the registry, locate

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Tomcat

and add the Oracle service's name ('orasvc') to the 'DependsOnService' value if you want Tomcat to start after Oracle service has started. 'sc.exe config mysvc depend=othersvc' can do that also, see http://technet2.microsoft.com/Window...px#BKMK_config ("sc config")
