I am using win xp pro sp2, with 512 X 2 mb ddr ram on socket A machine.

The problem is conerning one particular software named odin which I use for online stock trading.
I had been getting this application crash error and the program crashes. Always, its the same exact error with the same fault address.

Note: I have not put the complete error log here as it is about 400 kb in size.

I suspected one of the memory stick to be bad so removed it and now am running machine on only one 512 ddr ram stick.
I know other people who are running this software without any problem.

Memory fault addressing errors are generally caused by an application trying to do something with its data in memory and getting unexpected results... maybe the term 'bad' programming was the wrong term, but its basically an un-handled error... which should of been thought about in the programming stage. Its not always possible when writing an application to foresee every possible error... so maybe it is just 'incomplete' programming... and yes, even microsoft have fallen foul to this...

But of course, even physically bad memory could produce these unexpected results (or drivers, depending on what your app is trying to do when it errors)... but in this case, as its only the one program, my guess would be that another program running on your computer will be causing incompatability issues with the Odin app. Try closing ALL other open applications (antivirus, msn, outlook, office, EVERYTHING etc.) and see if you are still having issues.

What hardware does this Odin app use? Does it have any 'meaty' video needs for example, or does it just make use of your network device?

You still didn't mention whether the error occurs at the same point in the app or not? does it just happen anytime? or when you do something specific?
