SVCHost- Application error.

i receive this error message very often when windows booting up.

svchost.exe -- application error the instruction at "0x745f2780" reference memory at "0x00000000". the memory could not be 'read'

I know its because of windows update issue or something related with that.
But while troubleshooting this issue if we disable any application , will that affect my windows update??
Please help.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

InfoHQ Help Board - Start up errors! Please someone help!

Look here as some other people had this problem and turning auto updates off do windows update and then turn auto updates back on fixes this problem
