Windows XP Pro SP2, while setting up and testing new UPS and loss of AC power settings, my "Low battery alarm" & "Critical battery alarm" slider bars (under Power Options Properties) are stuck at 94%. I moved them out here for easier testing, but now I cannot lower either of them below 94%. The low battery alarm can adjust above 94% (94-100%), and I understand not being able to adjust it below what the Critical battery alarm level is, but the Critical alarm level will not adjust below 94%. Crirtical level will adjust between 94% and whatever the Low alarm is set at. So the real problem looks to be the Critial level cannot be adjusted below 94%. I have enabled/disabled both settings in every combination, but no help. Searched the web and this forum and not found any answer yet. Any ideas?

After jacking with this all morning, the only work around I could find was to uninstall the UPS. After this, I regained full control of the slider bars, then set to the levels I wanted, rebooted, UPS was reinstalled, and levels stayed put.
