Default Setting Up SMS/MMS Service

run a mobile content delivery site that sends inspirational messages to opt-in subscribers worldwide. We started with sms messages but now want to move into mms. We have been using clickatell on a credit basis but now want to look at other options like using a gsm modem and a u.s mobile operator like Tmobile. The sms messages need to be personalised for each recipient. What software and equipment do we need? What is the best route to go( cost and simpilicity) in setting up a service like this that can also deliver logos and ringtones from a pc or website? Thanks
