1) I know that I have to stablish a PPP connection to my server, but after that how do I send my data (a bunch of numbers from a database)? Should I go for TCP/IP? What´s the recommend protocol in this case? 2) I know that I can access another hardware that is also connected using GPRS (same ISP let´s say). Is it possible to transmitt data between then without TCP/IP? |

It is only from the moment that you have a valid IP address on your mobile that the tel. company starts counting your bytes. So there is no way you will be able to communicate with other machines before you get an IP address and do it over TCP/ip If you do, let me know because then we can send traffic for free!!GPRS is made for tcp/ip traffic. This way u can access a machine as if it is on ur local lan or internet. It is only from the moment that you have a valid IP address on your mobile that the tel. company starts counting your bytes.
