Default Connect to mobile using HyperTerminal

i need to connect PC to mobile via serial cable to send sms from a desktop application using this mobile. The mobile i use is nokia 6210, and the os is Win 2k professional. The problem now that when i use hyperterminal i get no response from the modem. What made me sure that nothing wrong about the cable or the mobile is that it worked using an application called Oxygen Phone manager, and i could send sms from this application, connecting on COM1. But when i try to connect to COM1 on Hyperterminal i get nothing as i told u

PLZ PLZ if anyone can help, kindly reply.

There was a previous post on the same problem, but unfortuinatly i didn't find a solution for it in the posted replies.

I have faced with the same problem before. If you work with another mobile phone other than Nokia, you can connect directly to your phone by using HyperTerminal via COMx, but with Nokia phone, you have to get the driver for it (Nokia Data Suite). After installing driver for Nokia phone, it will create a virtual (software) COM port on an existing physical COM port. For example, if your PC has COM1 and COM2, the driver software will create COM3 based on COM1. Now to work with your phone, connect your phone to COM1 (physical), but you have to select COM3 (virtual) in the HyperTerminal. I have driver for Nokia 51xx, 61xx and 7110, but dont have for 6210. If you need it, plz feel free to contact me
