Firefox Gives Error When trying to Open .xls Files

Hello,
I upload a .xls file to my ftp and link it, when I try to open it with Firefox it tries to open it but cant succeed and it gives error like this:

But If I try to open the link with IE or Chrome it automatically asks for saving the file or not. They dont even try to open .xls files.

Let me explain step by step:
first I upload .xls file to my ftp, then I post a page includes
<h2 style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.mysite.com/my.xls">Click the link</a></h2>

Then I click "click the link" but firefox tries to open it and it gives error like above.
How can I fix this problem? Any help?
