Upgrading PIX525 from restricted to unrestricted

Question: i recently ordered an upgrade for my Cisco PIX 525 to upgrade to unrestricted. I see that the upgrade came with a 128mb memory upgrade and a VAC+ card. I dont plan on upgrading the IOS. Do i really need to install these hardware upgrades?

You need the memory upgrade, but you don't necessarily need the VAC+ card unless you have a lot of VPN tunnels/clients.
