Losing connection using Wireless Router

I have a new Powerbook, WinXP, Win 98, Win 2000 in our home/small business. I just added the Netgear PC Wireless Adapter to the Win XP. Since the introduction of the Powerbook I often lose connection with all 4 computers. All connect wirelessly through the router. The router is attached via DSL modem thru Qwest.

I've tried everything that i've read and still not getting consistent connection. So here are my questions:
1. Should i replace the Netgear Wireless Router MR814? if so with what? I've read about a bigger/better Linksys and/or the new Airport Extreme

2. Am i overburdening the router? Is that even possible?!) Shoud i have at least 1 connect via ethernet?

Any insight would be great!

I don't think you are overburdening the router.

Can the PCs connect to eachother (ie. file and printsharing)?

Otherwise, you may want to try a firmware update.
