If you, basketball lovers out there, have ever played soccer managers and hoped that one day you will be able to bring the glory to your favorite basketball team, World Basketball Manager gives you this opportunity! And what could possibly be better than creating your own team of superstars?

As many people probably don't know yet, World Basketball Manager is a series that started back in 1999 and has kept improving ever since, according to the game fans' requests and suggestions. As the name suggests it, this is a game where the player has the possibility to choose a basketball team and lead it to greater success (or fail miserably).

Regarding the player researchers, they must have done a pretty good (and, hopefully, accurate) job as no less than 65 national and international tournaments are available, as well as ten thousand real basketball players from 650 teams. These are quite some numbers!

As any new game in a series should, WBM2008 brings new features, some of them being the key to the realism of the managerial experience that the player will get from playing the game. Now, pre-season centers can be selected; they influence the overall development of players for the entire season. Also, sponsors are now available, as soon as a team has a good season (unlike the other games in the series, where the player had to wait one more season for this).

The game also brings a friendlier training interface, along with an important improvement of the training system, the most important thing being that now it's possible to improve the team's zone defending or cohesion through training. Also, name search is available, too, along with the ability to select the database size at the beginning. The game supports Windows Vista systems, too, and is available in 8 languages (English, French, Italian, German, Greek, Lithuanian, Portuguese and Spanish.)
