Is SQL Server 2000 affected by 2007 DST changes?

Question: As you know the daylight saving time will be changed on March 11, 2007.
I read the following "Preparing for daylight saving time changes in 2007" article from microsoft website:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/timezone/dst2007.mspx

But I am not sure and still have the question: Is SQL Server 2000 affected by 2007 DST changes? Do we need to apply patches? What should we do for the DST changes?

SQL Server (2000 and 2005) retrieves the date/time from the OS. So if by affected you mean that 'if I apply the patch will SQL be patched automatically' the answer is yes. If you are running Windows 2000, you will ahve to apply this manually, as noted in the article.
