SEGA has announced Condemned 2: Bloodshot, a first-person action thriller featuring a new fighting mechanic and online multiplayer functionality. Developed by Monolith Productions, Condemned 2: Bloodshot will immerse players in a world of psychological terror as they track down serial killers. It is set to be released across Europe on the Xbox 360 and PS3 in early 2008.
The game sees players assuming the role of Ethan Thomas, a former Serial Crimes Unit investigator who is called back to duty to track down his missing partner. Players will engage in combat using different firearms, blunt instruments and a new fighting system which is complete with defensive and offensive combo chains. Players will need to use new high-tech forensic tools to solve clues and track the killer. Players can use both brain and brawn to solve murders, with each murder capable of being solved in a number of ways to keep the game play exciting. Condemned 2: Bloodshot also features various online multiplayer modes including a brutal hand-to-hand combat experience in Deathmatch.
Taking the game to new levels
“The original, Condemned, was a game which truly shocked and scared its players with its subtle details, gripping story and eerie tension throughout,” said Gary Knight, European Marketing Director, SEGA Europe. “Condemned 2: Bloodshot takes these three key elements to heightened new levels, providing a superb mature gaming experience that will constantly surprise its players and keep them gripped from start to finish.”
