I have a ps3 into an onkyo 605. Everything works fine except for ps2 and ps3 games. Even though I've selected bitstream rather than pcm, it seems that my ps3 sends only pcm to my onkyo when playing PS2 and PS3 games. My onkyo will display "multichannel" and not let me apply dts or dolby to my games. I know this is a limitation of my "level 4" receiver but why cant my PS3 send the audio over HDMI as bitstream for my games. It lets me do this for DVD and blu-ray movies. Thanks for any help you can give.
