I'm in a metal band from Indiana called The Analyst, and recently invested in an Alesis DM5 Drum Module to just trigger my bass drum live. Sounds great. Later on I decided to add a bass/sub drop to my kit, so I purchased a simple trigger, and have been using a setting on the DM5 for a bass drop, but the bass drop doesn't sound good. The module won't allow me to thoroughly edit the drop, so I made one on my laptop.

Is there any way for me to run a trigger into my laptop to play that sound for live use?

I've read that I will most likely need some midi stuff, and maybe some software. I have Adobe Audition, so I hope that someway that will work.
