I want to prevent my users from changing Taskbar and Start Menu Settings. Whenever I keep settings and leave the system for them to work by logging on their user account, the users will change the Settings again. So, is there anyway to prevent the users from changing Taskbar and Start Menu Settings in Windows 7? I have Windows 7 build 7100 version operating system. |

Yes. You can prevent the users from changing the Taskbar and Start Menu Settings. Open the Local Group Policy Editor by typing “gpedit.msc” (without quotes) in the Search box of the Start Menu. Then, go to the below setting: User Configuration\Administrative Templates\ Start Menu and Taskbar\ Then, double click on the “Prevent changes to Taskbar and Start Menu Settings” in the right pane. Then, select Enabled option and click on Apply and then OK. Then, close the Local Group Policy Editor. |
