Whenever we create any shortcut file, it creates the shortcut file along with an arrow. If you want to remove those arrows, then follow the below steps: 1) Download the below attached .zip file on to the desktop. 2) Then, extract the .zip file and copy and paste the “Blank.ico” file to the C:\Windows\ location. If UAC prompts, click on Yes and then click on Continue to confirm. 3) Then, double click on the “32-bit Remove_Shortcut_Arrows.reg” file which you have extracted from the .zip file. NOTE: If you have 64-bit Windows 7, then double click on “64-bit Remove_Shortcut_Arrows.reg” 4) Click on Yes to confirm the modification to Registry Editor. 5) Once the registry has been added to the registry, it displays the successful message. Just click on OK. Then, restart your system for changes to take effect. In case, if you want to restore the Shortcut arrow, then follow the below steps: 1) Double click on “Restore_Shortcut_Arrow.reg” file which you have extracted from the .zip file above. 2) Then, click on Yes to confirm and then click on OK when it displays the successful message. 3) Then, go to C:\Windows\ folder and delete Blank.ico file. Then, restart your system for changes to take effect. |
