Setting up wireless network for PCs and XBox 360

I am getting my husband an XBox360 for Xmas, and I know that I will then finally convince him that we need to set up a wireless network. We currently have broadband access, with 7Mbps download/512kbps upload. At this time, we also have a WIRED router, with three PCs (2 are Windows XP, one is Windows 98) directly plugged into the router. What I need to be able to do is provide Internet access to the XBox360, as well as to the existing PCs. I can't hardwire all 4 components, as they are located on two different floors, in different parts of the house. We also have a laptop that has wireless capability, but we have to plug it in for internet connectivity ('cause my husband hasn't wanted to spend the money to get a wireless router).

What would be the most cost-effective of connecting three PCs, one laptop, and an XBox360?
