though it could be filed into numerous catagories, i decided, considering that it is a game system, to put it here.
I have an X-BOX game console. Some of you may heard of it? It can connect to the internet. But I have a wireless network in my house, with a wireless 802.11b hub. I want the XBOX to be able to touch the internet. Reasonable. But, it is across the house from the DSL wired hookup, and I don't want to shell out 80 bucks on an adapter. It (the box) is, however, sitting on top of my brand new PC. Which has a wireless card and an standard wired ethernet card. So, let me get to the "meat" of the problem:
Can I hook up the XBOX to my network through a "wireless to wired" bridge running on my PC.
I have a crossover cable. If that helps. X-posted for equal point value in the windows networking forum.
