Default WRT55AG v2 resets intermittently.

Question: I just configured and installed a Linksys WRT55AG v2 router with the latest firmware and Linksys WMP55AG NIC card. I am using charter cable for internet access and also have an xbox 360 wired directly to the router. I'm operating on the A-band only in order to utilize the media center extender capabilities of the 360. Everything is at a default setting except for the fact that I disabled the g-band on the router and made sure it didn't broadcast my SSID. Also turbo mode is enabled on the a-band. The outlet I have it plugged into is the same I used for my previous router and it never reset or lost a connection at all.

The problem is that the router seems to reset itself intermittently, but the settings do stay intact. It's very apparent when playing a game on xbox live and being disconnected mid-game. The reason I think its reseting is because while on the internet or xbox live, i'll lose connection to that service. I glance over to the router and notice all the lights are off then they come on again. Less than a minute later, the i'm connected again.

Any idea as to what's going on?

If all the lights turn OFF then goes back again it means that there is a problem with the router itself. Have you check the power socket where you are plugging the router is working fine??? If yes, then......

call linksys tech support for the replacement of the said router for there is a problem with the router. Make sure that you have the receipt......
